Outlook:


There are a few ways to give someone permission to your calendar, however the we have found the following to be the most reliable way:

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Navigate to your calendar
  3. Right click
  4. Choose properties
  5. Open the Permissions Tab
  6. Click Add...
  7. Locate the user you would like to give permission to view your calendar
  8. Click Add
  9. In the permissions window you can fine tune exactly what they should be able to see; Either choose a preset or create your own
  10. Click OK


The other user then simply needs to:

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Go to their Calendar
  3. In the ribbon at the top of the screen choose "Add Calendar"
  4. From Address Book
  5. Find your name
  6. Click Add
  7. OK

Your calendar should now be visible to them.


Webmail:


The steps for giving permission in webmail are a little different:

  1. Open a web browser
  2. Navigate to portal.office.com
  3. Log in using your Office 365 details
  4. Select Outlook
  5. Navigate to your calendar
  6. Click share
  7. Enter the email address of the user who should have access
  8. Click Share
  9. They will the receive an email giving them access to your calendar


To open another user's calendar:

  1. Open a web browser
  2. Navigate to portal.office.com
  3. Log in using your Office 365 details
  4. Select Outlook
  5. Navigate to your calendar
  6. Click Add Calendar
  7. Choose from directory
  8. Type the name of the user in the "From Directory" field
  9. Click Open
  10. If you have permission to access their calendar, it should now appear in your list of calendars.
